Here are answers to the most common questions about Pack It Back.
How do I start?
Choose a starter kit or create a kit, add your items, then start an outing. Tick the items and quantities you are taking.
Why is an item missing from my return list?
The return list includes only items with a packed quantity greater than zero when you started the return checklist. Items left at zero were not recorded as taken.
Can I change a kit while an outing is underway?
Yes. Each outing has its own saved snapshot. Editing a reusable kit does not rewrite an outing already in progress.
What if I do not bring everything back?
Record the quantity that is back. For anything intentionally left or lost, use the missing-item resolution so your history stays clear.
Why did a reminder not appear?
Check Settings > Notifications on your iPhone, notification permissions for Pack It Back, and your Focus settings. A completed outing no longer needs its reminder.
How do backups work?
Export backup creates a JSON file including your saved records and item photos. Keep it somewhere trusted. Restore backup validates the file and asks before replacing your current data.
Does it sync with my family?
There is no live family sharing or cloud sync in this release. You can share a plain text checklist and export a backup.
How do I delete my information?
Use the confirmed delete-all control in Settings. Also remove exported backups and shared copies yourself if you no longer want them.
